Strengthening Municipal Capacity to Respond to the EU Integration Process within the Recovery Process

We are pleased to invite you to the event jointly organized by the Ukrainian Climate Office and the Covenant of Mayors within Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026 – “Strengthening Municipal Capacity to Respond to the EU Integration Process within the Recovery Process”.

This discussion will explore how local governments can strengthen their institutional capacity, align recovery planning with EU accession requirements, and accelerate the green and resilient transformation of their hromadas. This is an important event as municipalities are at the forefront of translating European standards into local recovery and development plans and actions.

During the discussion we will focus on:
🔹 The role of local governments in Ukraine’s EU integration process
🔹 Building municipal capacity for sustainable recovery and reconstruction
🔹 Climate-neutral and resilient development pathways for communities
🔹 Access to financing, partnerships, and practical tools supporting local implementation
🔹 Lessons learned and opportunities for cooperation between Ukrainian and European municipalities

The event will take place on the 26 of June 2026 in Gdansk, Poland.
