The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine, together with the project “Support for the Establishment of an Emissions Trading Scheme in Ukraine”*, is launching training sessions on monitoring, reporting and verification of greenhouse gas emissions for plant operators, consultants, verifiers and other stakeholders. The free training sessions on MRV will start on October 1 with an introductory working meeting in a hybrid mode (offline and online).

In preparation for the training sessions, the training organizers, together with business representatives, have identified the final list of issues that entrepreneurs face when collecting relevant information and submitting reports. Experts from the Ministry will also explain the proposed amendments to the Law on EIA and provide advice on the relevant legislation.

The training sessions were initiated due to the changes in the MRV legislation that took place in 2023, as well as the lack of mandatory reporting in the relevant area during the war, which led to limited experience of facility operators in the field of MRV. The sessions will ensure the understanding of the process by all stakeholders as well as fulfillment of their tasks.

Venue: Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine
Date and time of the event: October 1 at 13:00.
