Detailed information

NGO Greencubator is working on innovations in the energy sector, supporting development of start-ups and social entrepreneurship.
Organisation initiated implementation of various projects and programmes including the following:

  1. TeslaCamp event, which is basically an outdoor camping event supporting renewables-powered energy innovations. During the event the number of discussion panel on the topics of energy decentralisation and support to small scale renewable projects, microwaves, cyber security, climate innovation financing and green export. The event brought together different stakeholders including industry players, students, energy enthusiasts, media and investors.
  2. Climate Innovation Vouchers initiative by the EBRD under the program “Finance Technology Transfer Centre for Climate Change” (FINTECC). The project is supporting business development for development of climate innovations in Ukraine by providing grants on a contest basis. Greencubator developed the program design and manages the process of issuing vouchers for the winning applicants. The project provided around one million euro for 30 selected projects.
  3. ClimateLaunchpad project that supports development of entrepreneurial skills in cleantech sector to address climate change related issues. The project is based on financing green ideas, including conduction of intensive training in a special boot camp on a contest basis. The winners, apart from cash prizes, also receive an opportunity to participate in Climate-KIC acceleration program, which is supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT).
  4. Hack4energy project that is based on organising hackathons to solve the most problematic energy challenges of Ukraine. During those hackathons up to 11 cities cooperated via online platform in order to develop various projects and prototypes.
  5. EnergyHeroes – the video series about energy entrepreneurs from around Ukraine.
  6. Start-up City Book – that is a hands-on guide to make the cities and towns start-up friendly.
