The Center for Environmental Initiatives “Ecoaction” is a public organization that unites experts and activists around the idea of preserving the environment through influencing decision-making.
The NGO focuses on energy efficiency, renewable energy, combating climate change, clean air for everyone, development of sustainable transport and agriculture in Ukraine.
Protection of the environment via influencing decision-makers and stakeholders and to develop an active Ukrainian community.

Ecoaction develops a community of people who are concerned about environmental problems and who strive to solve them, forms a culture of participation in the protection and preservation of the environment through environmental volunteerism, ecoactivism and financial charity.
Their activities cover various spheres in energy and climate.
The centre for Environmental Initiatives Ecoaction is a civil society organisation that unites experts and activists to advocate energy efficiency, renewable energy transformation, climate policy, sustainable transport and agriculture in Ukraine. The NGO cooperates and influences on decision-makers and stakeholders to develop an active community in Ukraine. Its main fields of activity include energy, energy efficiency, transport, agriculture, active communities, clean air and climate change.
The main objectives of NGO Ecoaction:
- achieving an energy efficient economy and 100% renewables-based energy sector by 2050,
- promoting ambitious climate policy in Ukraine,
- supporting decarbonization of transport infrastructure,
- supporting active communities in defending their environmental rights and their participation in decision-making.
Works on the project “Engagement of Civil Society in Climate Action” with 5 NGOs with grant communities (Irpin, Bucha). Topics are infrastructure of Ukraine, creation of role model, organization of info tours (areas of Biodivercity, agriculture, energy efficiency, climate damage, GHG emissions, green reconstructions). It’s a third phase and will expire in the end of 2024. Demo projects are implemented with the focus on Restoring river basin in Irpin and Air and water pollution in Bucha. Under reconstruction planning it is envisaged to develop green reconstruction plan for local NGOs. Capacity building events are also envisaged.
