Ministry of Economy of Ukraine (MinEconomy)
Role
MinEconomy is a body of the executive power, responsible for the state policy on economic and social development, prices regulation, industrial, investment and foreign economic policies, state policy in the field of trade and entrepreneurship development, technical regulation (standardization, metrology, certification, quality management).
MinEconomy is a specially authorized body in the field of public procurement, metrology, public-private partnership, state regulatory policy, licensing and permit system.
Detailed information
MinEconomy plays a key role in driving the state policy of economic and social development, the state investment policy and management of government investments as well as steering the state policy on Ukraine’s cooperation with the EU in the sphere of economy and trade, and cooperation with the WTO.
Ministry of Economy is now responsible for NECP finalization until summer 2024.
Initiated WG’s on development of Ukraine Plan under the Europe Facility.
Cooperation with Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
Cooperation on Environmental Social Governance (ESG) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s).
MinEconomy is instrumental in conducting interministerial coordination on issues of economic and social cooperation of Ukraine with the European Union.
