Description
The Economic Cooperation and Development division is part of the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) of Switzerland. It contributes to achieving the strategic objectives of Switzerland’s foreign economic policy. SECO, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the Human Security Division (HSD) jointly define and implement the Swiss Cooperation Strategy in Ukraine.
Swiss support in Ukraine covers the following areas of intervention: local self-government and peacekeeping activities, health care, energy efficiency and sustainable urban development, sustainable economic development, as well as humanitarian aid.
The main focus of SECO is on reliable energy supply and ecological development of cities, sustainable economic development. SECO also supports training programs for SMEs, promotes the export of small and medium-sized enterprises and the development of organic agriculture.
