Promotion of Energy Efficiency and Implementation of the EU Energy Efficiency Directive in Ukraine
Description
This project focuses on aligning Ukraine’s energy efficiency framework with EU directives, particularly 2012/27/EU and 2010/31/EU, through regulatory support, practical implementation, and capacity building. It aims to reduce energy consumption, lower costs for institutions and households, and create new opportunities in the energy sector.
Key activities include:
- Advising the Ukrainian government on EU directive implementation.
- Supporting regulatory development for energy efficiency.
- Implementing energy efficiency measures in communities and businesses.
- Providing training for municipal officials and enterprises.
- Assisting in municipal energy management and planning.
- Supporting energy-efficient reconstruction in war-affected areas (Sumy and Chernihiv).
Additionally, the project prioritizes workforce training, promotes engineering and technical careers, and integrates a gender perspective in the energy sector.
