H2Diplo Hydrogen Diplomacy project

H2Diplo supports the global transition to green hydrogen as a key solution for decarbonizing hard-to-abate sectors like the chemical and metal industries. It helps partner countries move away from fossil fuels by integrating green hydrogen into their economies.

Key Activities:

• Advisory services on green hydrogen strategies and market development.
• Capacity building & dialogue formats through H2-diplo offices in Angola, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Colombia, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, and Ukraine.
• Geopolitical analysis on how green hydrogen affects global power dynamics.

Support for Ukraine, including:

• Feedback on its national H2 strategy (March 2024).
• Virtual H2 training for Ukrainian diplomats (July 2024)
• Publication of a study on Ukraine’s green hydrogen potential (July 2024).
