Biodiversity Finance Initiative (BIOFIN II)

The BIOFIN initiative focuses on financing biodiversity conservation to help countries meet their obligations under the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). Many countries lack the necessary information on the costs of implementing biodiversity strategies, and how to secure and utilize funds effectively. BIOFIN addresses these gaps by providing support for the development and implementation of financing solutions.

• Protected area finance – Ensuring adequate funding for the conservation of protected areas.
