Time: 13:00 – 14:30 CET (14:00 – 15:30 Kyiv time)
Format: online
As Ukraine advances toward EU accession, its legislation must align with ambitious climate legislation, including the Emission Trading Scheme (ETS) and the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). But how can these goals be achieved during a time of war, economic upheaval, and deep institutional reform?
The Green Deal Ukraїna Project (Helmholz-Zentrum Berlin) and the Ukrainian Climate Office under the Capacities for Climate Action Project invites you to join this live session to explore:
- How climate, environment, and biodiversity remain national priorities despite ongoing war
- How Ukraine is strengthening institutional capacity and preserving expertise
- A presentation of a new e-learning course designed to support Ukrainian public sector professionals in mainstreaming EU-aligned climate policy
This session will gather policy-makers, experts, and public sector professionals to discuss critical questions.
