The Climate Breakfast Series, organized by the Ukrainian Climate Office, is a platform for trusted dialogue on Ukraine’s climate policy, green transition, and EU integration. It brings together representatives of government, business, international organizations, financial institutions, civil society, and the expert community for informal, moderated discussions focused on knowledge exchange, cooperation, and practical solutions for Ukraine’s climate agenda and sustainable recovery.
Please select the one discussion table that best matches your professional interests, expertise, or current activities. Each table will focus on a specific area of climate policy and green transformation and will provide an opportunity to exchange views, share experience, and discuss key priorities and practical solutions.
A brief description of each table and its key discussion topics is provided below.
Table 1 – Climate Policy and EU Integration
Topics: priority reforms in the field of climate policy; EU accession and implementation of Negotiating Chapter 27; strengthening climate governance; international climate partnerships.
Table 2 – Climate Finance and Investment, Article 6 of the Paris Agreement and Carbon Markets
Topics: mobilizing private capital for climate action; sustainable finance instruments; developing an investment portfolio for green recovery; blended finance mechanisms; strengthening coordination of international climate finance.
Table 3 – Business, Industry and Green Competitiveness, ETS and CBAM
Topics: maintaining competitiveness under the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM); preparing for the introduction of an Emissions Trading System (ETS); industrial decarbonization; the energy transition; access to sustainable finance; innovation and green technologies.
Table 4 – Local Climate Action, Partnerships and Climate Change Adaptation
Topics: climate change adaptation and resilience; local climate action; capacity building; public engagement; knowledge exchange; partnerships for implementing climate policy.
