Webinar on Ukraine-EU Biomethane Cooperation
Ukrainian Climate Office invites you to the webinar, jointly organized by the Green Deal Ukraïna project, Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin and the Forum Energii, dedicated to the potential of Ukraine – EU biomethane cooperation.
The event will explore key findings from our recent study, “Harvesting Green Energy: The Potential of Ukraine–EU Biomethane Cooperation,” focusing on the opportunities, challenges, and solutions for biomethane trade between Ukraine and the EU.
The participants will discuss how the EU’s growing demand for sustainable biomethane, coupled with rising carbon prices, makes it an increasingly attractive market for Ukrainian producers. The session will also address the need for investments in infrastructure and regulatory alignment to unlock the full potential of Ukrainian biomethane exports. Additionally, we will examine how Ukraine can balance its domestic energy needs with export potential and the political commitment required to drive this transition forward.
The webinar will take place on February 13, 2025 13:00 – 14:30 CET (14:00-15:30 Kyiv time). Please register to join!
The webinar is jointly organized by Green Deal Ukraïna project (GDU) (Helmholtz- Zentrum Berlin für Materialien und Energie GmbH), the Forum Energii and the Ukrainian Climate Office/C4CA.
The Capacities for Climate Action (C4CA) project is implemented by GIZ on behalf of the German Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) within the framework of the International Climate Initiative (IKI) and co-financed by the European Union.
