Renewables for Resilient Ukraine (R2U) brings together policymakers and community representatives to drive Ukraine’s energy independence
On October 8th and 9th, the project Renewables for Resilient Ukraine (R2U) will hold a high-level conference to bring together policymakers and community representatives to drive Ukraine’s energy independence through renewable energy solutions.
The event is aimed at showcasing 16 pilot projects that promote financial, technical, and humanitarian solutions, offering a quick and replicable blueprint for Ukraine’s transition towards a sustainable and resilient energy future.
The Day 1 will be dedicated to discussions on lessons learned from municipalities, legal conditions, and the critical role of local actors to identify key challenges in promoting renewable energy solutions, including regulatory inadequacy and financing opportunities, with insights from local leaders.
The Day 2 will focus on strategic dialogue to ensure national frameworks support scaling decentralized renewable energy systems (RES) and drive long-term energy resilience. In-depth discussions between representatives from Ukraine and Germany will explore how national policies can align and support renewable energy growth, while also addressing challenges in the business sector and labor market.
