Despite the Russian full-scale war, Ukraine accelerates its efforts towards joining the EU as a fully-fledged Member State, which also requires joining global efforts on fighting with the climate change and adapting to its consequences. Such efforts, in its turn, largely affect Ukrainian businesses.

Which steps can be taken to support the businesses facing these challenges? How to help the businesses in preparation to the aforementioned changes by raising awareness on climate related policies and topics? Can these changes bring any opportunities towards the green and sustainable development and prosperity of businesses in Ukraine?

Join the climate action for business event to find out the answers for these questions, as it will shed the light on the following perspectives:

• EU policies that are based on global agreements in a nutshell,

• Development of the EU climate policy over the years, its impact and influence on businesses,

• Main CoPs, main decisions and main milestones,

• Focus of the upcoming CoP, and why this can be important for businesses,

• Role of businesses in international climate negotiations.

Apart from it, the event will also envisage reflections and examples from representatives of business on climate action activities according to the EU policies.

The event will take place online on September 19, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:30 CET (11:00 to 12:30 Kyiv time). For representatives of businesses only! Please kindly register via registration button before September 18, 15:00 (Kyiv time).

The event is organized by the Ukrainian Climate Office under the Capacities for Climate Action (C4CA) project in cooperation with the “Chapter Zero Ukraine & Caucasus” initiative. Capacities for Climate Action (C4CA) project is implemented by GIZ on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) within the framework of the International Climate Initiative (IKI) and co-financed by the European Union.
