Ukrainian Climate Office will hold an Expert discussion on “CBAM and Ukraine: Impact on Ukraine’s electricity sector and potential CBAM exemption for electricity exports to EU”, jointly organized by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine, the Low Carbon Ukraine project and the Ukrainian Climate Office under the Capacities for Climate Action (C4CA) project. The event will take place in hybrid format on April 25, 2024 at from 14:00 to 16:00 CEST (15:00 to 17:00 Kyiv time). Please mark this date in your calendar.

 The event aims to discuss analytical perspective, potential impact of CBAM on Ukraine’s electricity sector, as well as practical steps for how to either obtain an exemption for electricity exports from CBAM or facilitate Ukraine’s adaptation to the mechanism.
