Carbon Markets and Carbon Pricing: How to mobilize private sector funds into priority sectors for green recovery?
At the Side Event of CoP29 an expert panel will discuss how carbon crediting mechanisms and other carbon pricing tools, such as carbon taxes and Emissions Trading Systems, can be interconnected and their potential transition from voluntary to compliance-based frameworks, expanding from national to international applications. During the event government representatives and practitioners will share their experiences and expectations on how these policies can mobilize private sector investment for projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, support sustainable development, and align with national goals, such as Ukraine’s «green recovery» initiative.
